It’s Okay To Let It Go
When I woke up this morning, I was waiting for a positive blog post idea to manifest like it had been happening, but it didn’t. I’ve been feeling anger these last few days, and it doesn’t make me feel good, so I thought maybe I should write about that.
Then it hit me. I could let it go.
Do we even realize how much power we have in our minds? We can choose to feel a certain way every moment. When we bring up past hurtful moments, we are choosing to relive the pain. If we don’t pay attention, today’s and yesterday’s experiences get mixed and we aren’t living in the moment. Compounded emotions are challenging to control.
When that happens, we need to stop, take a breath, and ask ourselves why we feel that way. Becoming aware of our thoughts is the way to happiness.
—- > Let It Go —- >
- A bad attitude or negative thoughts.
- Focusing on your shortcomings instead of praising your gifts.
- Feeling anger or resentment.
- Worrying without doing something positive to fix the situation.
- Harboring hate. People who hate are harboring pain. There’s a deeper reason that hits a nerve.
- Limiting ourselves.
- Comparing ourselves with others.
- Let go of excessive guilt. A little can keep us humble and human.
- Jealousy or envy. You are enough. You have enough. Be grateful.
- The past if it caused you pain. Remember the lessons, but let go of the negativity.
A good guide for knowing when it’s okay to let it go is if something hurts you, remove it from your life. It could be something as simple as a shirt because the tag irritates your skin or as complicated as a relationship that doesn’t serve you well. Letting it go will open your life up to receiving something better.
We know what’s good for us. It’s a matter of paying closer attention to ourselves than the noise of the world. Doing that doesn’t diminish our desire to love one another or give others attention. It just makes us more aware of what makes us happy. If it doesn’t do that, why have it around? And remember, we don’t need permission to make ourselves happy.
Thank you for reading this, and I hope you all have a fantastic day! Comment what you want to let go of that will make you happier.
To cleaning up our lives,
Francesca
