Rain

The rain is falling outside my window

It has blurred my vision to see reality outside

I’m left to conjure images of what’s true

So, I go inside my imagination and this is what I see…

There is happiness all around me

Laughter echoes loud and smiles stay

Beauty surrounds me, from souls and things

I feel blessed and at peace for the first time

Our home welcomes all who want to be there

Family and friends come for a visit and stay longer

Four-legged loved ones prance around like fairy tale characters

Conversations are about life and space and all things interesting

Love enters the home the moment we gather there

My purpose has been shaped into a seemingly perfect truth

I get to entertain, and give everyone hope

Gratitude expels from me like perspiration on a hot summer day

And life could not possibly get any better.
