Ten Ways To Have A Better Day

Source: Sharon Fitzmaurice

Here are ten ways that I have found helpful for me to have a better day.

  1. Wake up and say thank you before you get out of bed. This puts you in the mindset of being grateful for another day on this earth.
  2. When you are getting ready for the day, visualize how you want your day to go. See yourself smiling and being around nice, happy people. You will bring that to your life. If you start thinking about everything you need to do, that’s fine; just put a positive spin on it.
  3. Take time to sit down and eat something healthy. It could be a bowl of oatmeal or scrambled eggs. Anything that fuels your body with good stuff will help you start the day well.
  4. Breathe and release any tension. Do the 4-8-7. Breathe in four counts, hold it for eight counts, and exhale for seven counts. It puts your body in a state of relaxation.
  5. Mentally prepare how you want to react to people, whether it’s your significant other, child, or co-worker. Even if you’re rushing (which, ideally, we don’t want to do), take a moment before you respond so that you interact in a pleasant way.
  6. Let yesterday go. It’s gone. Start new.
  7. Focus on love. I know it seems simplistic, but trust me on this one: When you have love in your head, it doesn’t matter what you have to do. It will turn out better. You’ll be surprised how people react better to you as well.
  8. Look in the mirror and tell yourself, “You got this. It’s a good day. All will be great!”
  9. Slow down. Focus more on the moment instead of the whole day. Take one step at a time and do it at a slower pace. This will keep you more in the present moment.
  10. Enjoy the moments you have. No matter what you’re doing, find something that makes you smile or brings on a good feeling. There are so many things that happen in one day. Anyone can find a few good things. This will shift your mindset to a good place, and you’ll have a better day.

I hope you find these tips helpful and comment below if any of them made a difference to you. 🙂 Thank you so much for reading this. Have a wonderful day!

To a Better Day,
